To keep these tribes from invading Britannia, Emperor Hadrian had a massive wall built across the island from sea to sea. The Romans called the land north of the wall Caledonia, and they called the people Picts--from the Latin piclus, meaning "painted"--because they painted their bodies.Parts of Hadrian's Wall still stand on the Scottish border.
In the 5th century Celtic immigrants from Ireland, called Scots, settled north of the Clyde. The Scots were already Christians
when they left Ireland.
In the next century St. Columba converted the king of the Picts to Christianity. In the 9th century Kenneth MacAlpine, king of the Scots, added the Pictish kingdom to his own. In about the 10th century the land came to be known as
Scotland.

Der Alleinunterhalter Bobby Brady, geboren in Dundee (Schottland), spielt seit über 27 Jahren Live - Musik (Scottish & Irish Folk, Oldies, Balladen, Pop und vieles mehr) als Sänger, Gitarrist und Geigenspieler im gesamten deutschsprachigen Raum. Nach der Auflösung seiner ersten Band ("the wally dugs", Folk / Rock - Band aus Schottland) ist Bobby außerdem in großen Teilen Europas und auch außerhalb aufgetreten: Großbritannien, Belgien, Dänemark, Schweiz, Norwegen, Spanien, Boston, New York und Kanada. Bobby spielt Gitarre und  "fiddle" und  hat in den letzen Jahren als Solo - Künstler eine Mischung aus traditionellen schottischen und irischen Folksongs,  zeigenössischer Pop- und Rockmusik, Country, Balladen und Oldies entwickelt. Außerdem erfüllt Bobby spontan geäußerte Liederwünsche des Publikums, sofern er das gewünschte Lied ungefähr kennt. Versuchen kann man´s ja mal... 
Drei Jahre lang hat Bob erfolgreich bei Promotion - Veranstaltungen der Guinness - Brauerei, Baccardi und der Glenmorangie, Dewars & Ardbeg Whisky Destillerien aus Schottland gespielt.  
Wohnhaft in Hamburg, spielt Bobby außerdem seit über 16 Jahren als reisender Solo - Entertainer in allen möglichen Arten von Kneipen, Clubs, Theatern oder Open Air Festivals sowie bei privaten parties wie hochzeit, scheidung, geburtstag und beerdigungen (letzteres nach Möglichkeit nur gegen Vorauszahlung...)
In seinem breitgefächtern Musikprogramm ist für jeden etwas dabei. Und Bobbys köstlicher Humor garantiert ein unvergessenes Event.

Concentrating on Guitar & Fiddle playing has developing a mixture of traditional tunes and songs consisting of Scottish, and Irish, Celtic/Folk/Rock, contemporary Pop, Country, Modern, Ballads and Oldies and requests of any ones desire. for over 3 Years he has successfully been doing promotion gigs for the Irish brewery Guinness, and also sponsored by Bacardi, moving on for a further 4 years doing promotions for Glenmorangie, Dewars & Ardbeg Whisky distilleries from Scotland. as a travelling solo musician for around 16 years thereby, playing all kinds of pubs, clubs, theatres open air festivals, and private parties like weddings divorces and funerals.
